Nokia had been working around a Android powered phone even though Microsoft is in the process to acquire the company’s handset business. According to multiple sources that are familiar with the company’s plans “Nokia is developing its own Android phone”, which has been codenamed “Normandy” internally. Though the codename would be changed to something else once the product is released.

Well known Twitter leakster @evleaks revealed the rumored Nokia Normandy’s Photo in the last month when nothing much was known about the device. The mysterious phone is likely to be an Asha device due to lack of hardware shutter button, capacitive buttons and LED flash in it, intending for budget-minded users as a low end phone leaking even the basic Smartphone hardware like a GPS radio or 3G data, but supposed to be running Android applications like Skype, and other popular apps. This is a forked version of Android, which means that it won’t be associated with Google services and would be more like the Amazon’s Kindle Fire device and there wont be any official play store but Nokia would be able to customize it to the max.

Motorola's back, and it's kicking off its global smartphone revival with the keenly priced Moto G handset. A mid-range handset with a low-end price tag. 

First things first then, the Moto G price. You can pick the handset up in two storage sizes - 8GB and 16GB. The former will set you back just £135/$175 (around 10K INR), while the larger size is still a very palatable £159/$199 (around 13K INR).

If your priority is to get your hands on the cheapest Android phone deal around, the new Motorola Moto G can’t be beat. That's a lot of smartphone with no strings attached. Even so, Motorola made some big compromises to help the Moto G reach its extremely low price, specifically a slow processor, an unimpressive camera, no 4G LTE, and a screen that won’t wow anybody.  

It's hardly groundbreaking in terms of looks, but the soft, curved edges of the Moto G make it relatively attractive and the swath of plastic feels solid and well built.

Weighing in at 143g the Moto G has a pleasing, well balanced presence in the hand without being overbearing, and while it may measure 11.6mm thick in the middle the tapered edges make it feel thinner than it is.

Couple that with a rubberized rear plate which slightly hugs the side of the handset too, and the Moto G fits comfortably in the palm, providing a decent level of grip.

The Moto G features a water repellent coating which means you'll be able to whip it out in the rain without fear of a short circuit, but it is not waterproof - so no jumping in the pool with it.

INSTRUCTIONS TO UPDATE :

The Android 4.4.1 update for the Nexus 5 started rolling a little quicker than we had originally thought. This update will dramatically improve the camera by making it faster. If you don’t feel like waiting for the update, we have the download link for you. If you have flashed a custom recovery you can simply download the update zip file to your device and flash. In order to update, your device needs to be running the latest stock build of Android 4.4 (KRT16M)

You will need the latest version of adb in order to proceed. Just download the latest Android SDK to make sure you’re up to date.

You also need to download the flashable ZIP file for the Nexus 5 (hammerhead) and place it in the fastboot folder (this location should be C:\program files (x86)\android\android-sdk\platform-tools in Windows)

You must have USB debugging enabled on your Nexus 5. If this is the first time going into developer options on your Nexus 5, just go into “About Phone” from your settings and tap the build number about seven times. Hit the back key and you will now see all developer options from now on.

1. Power off your Nexus 5, and power back on by holding the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons while it boots.
2. The fastboot menu should appear and you should see “Start” in the top right. Press Volume Up till it changes to “Recovery.” Press the Power button to select it.
3. You will see an Android with a red exclamation point icon, press Volume Up and the Power button at the same time.
4. You will get a new menu and you can navigate to “apply update from adb.”
5. Now it’s time to connect your Nexus 5 to your computer via a USB cable
6. Open the command prompt in Windows (cmd in Windows, regular shell in Linux and Mac) and navigate to the directory that the Zip file is located in.
7. Type: adb sideload 7ed504f678cea49ecf0974e8cd956e2974e3f943.signed-hammerhead-KOT49E-from-KRT16M.7ed504f6.zip
8. The update will install and reach 100%.
9. Reboot and enjoy Android 4.4.1.

New Delhi: Tata Docomo on Wednesday launched two data packs for its pre-paid GSM customers which allow unlimited use of chat application WhatsApp. The packs, valid for 15 and 30 days, are targetted at price sensitive pre-paid customers who just want to use WhatsApp for communication and don't want to spend on data usage, the company said.

The two packs have been priced at Rs 15 and Rs 30. "These data packs will enable Tata Docomo prepay GSM customers to enjoy the hugely popular WhatsApp with specially customised value for money data plans and with unlimited use," the company said in a statement.
